For example, "%20" is the percent-encoding for the binary octet "00100000" (ABNF: %x20), which in US-ASCII corresponds to the space character (SP). @MetaByter I think it is more technically correct to phrase the question as "In a URL, should I encode the spaces using %20 or + in the query part of a URL?" because while the example you show includes spaces only in the query part, it might not be clear to all readers that the answer depends. Sometimes the spaces get URL encoded to the + sign, and some other times to %20. What is the difference and why should this happen?
